Right on Umina Beach, probably one of the best spots in the south end of the Central Coast, Umina has plenty of cafes and restaurants. Close to Bowlo. It is situated at the south end of the beach and provides safe swimming. 500 metres south provides a patrolled beach and often good surf.
Patonga on the mouth of the Hawkesbury is 10 minutes drive and is a stunning location
For a group travelling, this would probably provide the most convivial location.

Motel Rooms
In a complex that is like an Italian Piazza. Has Cinema Paradiso, lots of good restaurants with a variety of cuisines, a bar and a market at the weekend. If you don’t stay here it is worth visiting.
Also walking distance to Palm Beach Ferry.
Accom Holidays – Ettalong
Multiple Properties around the Woy Woy Peninsular
West Gosford – distance to archery field approx 10 minutes
Lots of motels in West Gosford if you Google
Drive to restaurants, except Gosford RSL that has a courtesy bus
Galaxy Motel is situated next door to Gosford RSL
West Gosford is a more industrial place with Large Goods stores like Bunnings
Some things to do – make a weekend out of it!
If you are travelling from afar, it would be worth coming down on Friday and spending Saturday doing something cool. Here are some suggestions:
Australian Reptile Park – (My Pick)
this is a great place and doesn’t just have reptiles. They have lots of shows throughout the day. My favourite is the venomous snake show, where they get out a king cobra and a rattlesnake! Two of the zoo keepers here are regularly on TV. A great place to have a picnic as well.

Central Coast Aqua Park
Big inflatable obstacles on Brisbane Water in Gosford is a must do for the energetic.

Ferry from Ettalong to Palm Beach (AKA Summer Bay)
Catch the Ferry to Palm Beach then the 90 bus (north bound) then it will take you to palm beach where they film home and away. There are some cafes. There is a walk up to Barrenjoey Light Hose that will give some great views.

Warrah Trig
Off Patonga Drive, this is part of the Brisbane Water National Park. A short bush walk takes you to a stunning lookout towards Palm Beach, over Patonga and down the Hawkesbury.
Patonga
An old fishing village (now with some luxury house) surrounded by national parks, on the mouth of the Hawkesbury River. This is a really special spot where you can have fish and chips, amble down the beach, go for a bush walk, sit and have a drink at the pub in the beer garden while you watch the eagles fly overhead. The pub (Boathouse) is probably one of the only pubs in NSW without pokies and has a good range of beers and wines and the food is excellent. Patonga creek is good for kayaking. Not bad fishing too! The Boathouse Hotel does have accomodation as well.
Ettalong Tourist Resort/Cinema Paradiso
Cinema, cafe’s, great restaurants of all cuisines and a Saturday/Sunday market. Worth a visit if staying on the Woy Woy Peninsula.
Clip And Climb – Central Coast Leagues Club
This is great – indoor climbing with a twist. Lots of fun!

There is much more to do, but these are just a few suggestions
